Esperienze degli insegnanti sulle tematiche di genere

Le tematiche legate al genere sono ancora oggetto di dibattito nelle società latinoamericane, in particolar modo nell’ambito scolastico. La presente ricerca si è posta l’obiettivo di esplorare le esperienze degli insegnanti della scuola secondaria riguardo alle questioni di genere durante le lezioni e nel corso della loro formazione universitaria. Lo studio, di natura qualitativa e fenomenologica, ha coinvolto 22 insegnanti volontari. I risultati hanno evidenziato un’eterogeneità nell’utilizzo dei termini legati al genere; la maggior parte dei partecipanti ha adottato strategie didattiche inclusive per garantire pari opportunità a tutti gli studenti e riconosce il ruolo della famiglia nello sviluppo degli adolescenti e nella formazione degli stereotipi. È stata riscontrata, infine, una carenza nella trattazione delle tematiche di genere all’interno dei programmi educativi dei centri di formazione per insegnanti. In base a quanto emerso, c’è ancora molto lavoro da svolgere riguardo alle questioni di genere nell’istruzione e nella formazione degli insegnanti.
