Abstract

This article stresses equity and equality within educational systems, from a critical point of view. It analyzes the educational policies of UNESCO, the OECD and the EU, with a particular focus on the academic achievements of students from migrant backgrounds, and highlights the urgent need to create a broad vision of intercultural education within a wider conception of politics which - crucially - includes social justice.
