Al cuore dell’educazione: riconcettualizzare l’idea di cura nei servizi prescolari

Abstract

Se l’educazione è quel processo che sta in relazione con ciò che è essenziale e necessario alla vita (cfr. Luigina Mortari), diventa prioritario comprendere come le scuole, e in particolare, le scuole dell’infanzia possano caratterizzarsi come luoghi di espressione concreta della cura, nonostante molte politiche educative internazionali nei contesti ECEC (Early Childhood Education and Care) pongano poca attenzione a tale paradigma, relegando la cura ad una posizione di second’ordine, misconoscendone il suo valore come dimensione ontologica dell’essere umano. L’articolo presenta la fase preliminare di una ricerca qualitativa, ad orientamento fenomenologico, che ha come oggetto il processo di revisione della letteratura internazionale realizzata attraverso una scoping review volta a mappare i concetti-chiave e i principali studi empirici a partire da una domanda ampia di revisione “Che cos’è la cura?”. L’analisi fa emergere alcune concettualizzazioni della cura e alcuni nodi che caratterizzano la relazione tra cura e istruzione nei contesti ECEC.
